Purple Porcelain
Breeder: Prime Cuts
Purple Porcelain is a stunning indica-dominant strain with deep purple coloring and exceptional bag appeal. The buds display gorgeous purple hues throughout — not merely sugar leaves, but through the calyxes themselves — and deliver a sweet candy, deep gas, and fruity flavor profile. The purple expression is genetically fixed rather than environmentally induced, meaning consistent coloring across environments.
Lineage & Genetics
Cross: Undisclosed x Undisclosed
Proprietary Prime Cuts Nursery genetics with fully undisclosed parentage. The constitutive purple coloring indicates parentage from anthocyanin-dominant cultivars. The candy-gas-fruity terpene trifecta suggests a blend of myrcene-dominant indica gas with a fruity/candy line rich in limonene and linalool.
Terpene Profile
Myrcene — Deep gas, earthy musk, herbal; high concentration driving heavy sedation
Limonene — Candy sweetness and citrus brightness
Linalool — Floral sweetness and lavender contributing to the candy character
Caryophyllene — Spicy gas and fuel undertone
Aroma: Sweet fruit candy with a thick gas undertone — the sweetness hits first, then fuel/gas rolls in underneath. Grape candy and diesel in the grow room.
Flavor: Fruity candy dominates the inhale; deep gas comes through on exhale with lingering sweetness. Well-cured Purple Porcelain smells like grape hard candy dipped in fuel.
Effects & Experience
Onset: Moderate onset 2–5 minutes. Initial cerebral euphoria with rapid transition to full-body relaxation.
Heavy body stone, couch-lock potential at higher doses. Myrcene + linalool promotes sedation and muscle relaxation. Warm, enveloping physical high. Not a functional daytime strain for most.
Duration: 2–3 hours

Growing Characteristics
Grow Tips: Botrytis susceptibility is HIGH — dense, tightly packed indica buds trap moisture inside. RH below 45% weeks 6–8 is mandatory. Aggressive defoliation at day 1 and day 21 of flower. Purple strains with high anthocyanin production have elevated calcium demand — supplement Cal-Mag 10–15% above normal, especially in flower when purple intensifies. Allow natural nitrogen fade in final 7–10 days to enhance purple coloring as chlorophyll degrades. Dense canopy requires strategic leaf removal to expose interior bud sites. For maximum bag appeal: drop night temps to 60–65°F in final 2 weeks. Ice water finish (32°F) in final 48 hours can trigger final burst of anthocyanin. Dry-trim is strongly recommended to preserve trichome layer. Slow dry 10–14 days at 60°F. Optimal cure 4–6 weeks — gas deepens significantly after week 2.
History & Origin
