Girl Scout Cookies (GSC): Bred by the Cookie Family collective in San Francisco's Bay Area; a cross of Durban Poison x OG Kush. One of the most influential strains in modern cannabis, parent to Gelato, Cherry Pie, and dozens more. Blueberry: Bred by DJ Short in the 1970s–80s from Thai, Purple Thai, and Afghan genetics. An iconic indica famous for its berry flavor, purple coloring, and relaxing effects. Won the 2000 Cannabis Cup for Best Indica.

Aroma: Fresh blueberries and sweet berry dominate the nose, backed by earthy cherry undertones and dank, cookie-dough musk. Breaking the buds releases a leathery, gassy note with hints of vanilla cream. Nose intensity is strong — noticeable through the bag.

History & Origin

Blue Cookies emerged during the explosive GSC/Cookies wave of 2008–2013 on the West Coast, most commonly attributed to Washington state. No single breeder has been definitively credited. The cross of two household-name strains (GSC and Blueberry) was inevitable given their availability and fame. It quickly gained recognition, winning a Cannabis Cup in the medical hybrid category with a sample testing above 28% THC. Multiple seed banks (United Cannabis Seeds, Blimburn, Crop King) have since released their own feminized versions. The strain remains popular on the West Coast but can be harder to find in other US regions.
