Jack Herer: Sensi Seeds' most awarded strain (released 1994), a multi-hybrid of Haze, Northern Lights #5, and Shiva Skunk. Known for cerebral potency and complex terpene expression. Super Skunk: Sensi Seeds' Afghan-Skunk cross, a 1990 Cannabis Cup winner providing vigor, yield, and mold resistance. Haze: The legendary sativa landrace hybrid (Colombian, Mexican, Thai, South Indian origins) providing the soaring cerebral high and extended flowering traits.

Terpene Profile

Aroma: Pungent and skunky at its base, layered with earthy, herbal notes and sharp citrus (lemon). Growers on ICMag describe it as 'lemon fuel' — chemical, pungent, and unique. Sweet berry and floral notes emerge during growth, gaining strength approaching harvest.

Flavor: Distinctly citrusy on inhale (surprising given the less citrus-forward growing aroma), with earthy undertones, hints of spicy hashish, berry, pine, and a woody aftertaste. Smooth and complex.

Onset: Almost immediate — described as 'lightning-fast' by multiple sources. Users feel the cerebral rush within the first minute.

Pure sativa in character despite the indica genetics. Strong cerebral buzz and euphoria combined with energetic chattiness and creativity. Social and motivating — inspires activity rather than couch-lock. Potent enough that inexperienced users should exercise caution.

Duration: Fairly long-lasting with extremely slow tolerance buildup (noted by SeedFinder reviewers).

Growing Characteristics

Grow Tips: Two distinct phenotypes: indica form is compact enough for SOG; sativa form needs 1m+ height to reach full potential. For SOG, select the indica pheno and keep veg short (2–3 weeks). Calyxes swell into resin-saturated ropes forming multi-point crowns. Sativa pheno stretches hard in flower — plan for significant height gain and consider supercropping or lollipopping 2 weeks into bloom. Responds well to supercropping and lollipopping training techniques (per Sensi Seeds). Last 2 weeks of flowering produce dramatic calyx swelling and foxtailing — do not harvest early. Easy to trim due to favorable bud-to-leaf ratio (above average per SeedFinder). Plentiful resin production makes this strain excellent for hash and extract production (confirmed by Sensi Seeds). Outdoor clone may purple deeply in cooler autumn temperatures (ICMag grower report).

History & Origin

Developed by Sensi Seeds in Amsterdam as part of their ongoing Jack Herer breeding program. The goal was to prove that exotic, cerebral sativa-hybrid strains could be accessible to average indoor growers without being too time-consuming, challenging, or low-yielding. Through years of backcrossing their favourite Herer mother with a precise blend of Super Skunk and Haze, they produced Jack Flash — which they consider a serious contender alongside Northern Lights #5 x Haze and Jack Herer itself for 'best cannabis in the world.' Won 3rd Place at the 2004 High Times Cannabis Cup (Best Cannabis category). Also won at the 2007 Highlife Festival (Seed Company Hydro category). Referenced in the song 'Over the Pot (State of Grind)' by Gast.
