OGKB (OG Kush Breath): indica-dominant hybrid (~70/30), phenotype of Girl Scout Cookies (OG Kush x Durban line), 24-30% THC. Dense, resinous, purple-hued buds with doughy-sweet and funky-gas aroma. Notoriously slow vegetative growth, low yields, susceptible to mold — the traits Do-Si-Dos was bred to improve. Face Off OG BX1: mostly indica OG Kush phenotype, backcrossed once to stabilize, selected by ThaDocta from seeds gifted by a SoCal connection in the late 1990s. Described as having an overwhelmingly unique flavor and skull-crushing high with lemon-pine-diesel aroma and enormous trichome production. Flowers in 55-63 days. Structural backbone of Archive's entire catalog.

Terpene Profile

Aroma: Citrus-forward opening (lemon/lime), underpinned by earthy pine, pungent fuel/gas, mint undertones, and a sweet floral finish. Often described as having a rowdy fuel smell that lingers. Deep purple leaves coated with potent silver-white resin and vibrant orange pistils — resets the bar for bag appeal.

Flavor: Sweet dough/cookies on inhale; peppery, earthy diesel mid-palate; skunky, nutty exhale with lingering floral notes. Some phenotypes lean into vanilla-nut territory from the OGKB side.

Effects & Experience

Onset: Initial cerebral euphoria and mental uplift that transitions into deep full-body relaxation within 15-30 minutes.

Room-spinning effects that can sit down some of the highest tolerance smokers. Balanced head-and-body high with powerful sedation. Best suited for evening/nighttime use and experienced users.

Growing Characteristics

Grow Tips: Do-Si-Dos's compact bushy structure with extremely dense buds makes canopy management essential. Setup: full-spectrum LED (300-600W) or HPS, minimum 2x2 ft per plant. Quality soil or coco-perlite mix works well; organic soil enhances terpene expression. Use 3-5 gallon fabric pots. pH 6.0-6.5 in soil, 5.5-6.5 in hydro. Inline fan plus carbon filter is critical — extremely pungent from mid-flower onward. Week-by-week targets: seedling (wk 1) 72-77F/65-70% RH, early veg (wk 2-3) 73-78F/60-65% RH at 300-500 PPFD, late veg (wk 4-5) 73-78F/50-55% RH at 500 PPFD, early flower (wk 1-4) 72-78F/45-50% RH at 600 PPFD with bloom feed, mid flower (wk 5-6) 70-77F/40-45% RH at 700 PPFD, late flower (wk 7-8) 67-73F/35-40% RH at 700-800 PPFD, flush final 5-7 days 65-70F/35-40% RH with pH water only. Training is critical: SCROG is ideal — place net at canopy level, tuck branches for even horizontal canopy. LST from week 2-3 works exceptionally well. Top once at 4-5 nodes. Lollipop bottom 1/3 of plant before flipping. Defoliate in two rounds — once at flip and again around day 21 of flower. Be conservative with defoliation; strain can be sensitive to stress during veg. Mold prevention is the primary challenge due to extremely dense bud structure: humidity must stay below 50% from week 3 of flower onward and below 40% in late flower. Strong airflow directly over and under the canopy is non-negotiable. In outdoor grows avoid wet climates; consider greenhouses. Run a dehumidifier continuously during lights-off in high-humidity environments. Nutrients: moderate feeder — balanced NPK in veg with Cal-Mag especially in coco. Gradually reduce nitrogen in early flower and introduce PK boost. Heavy phosphorus and potassium mid-to-late flower for dense potent bud formation. Triggering purple: lower nighttime temps to 60-65F during final 2-3 weeks — 60-80% of plants will display notable purple coloring. Cold nights also enhance trichome production but do not go below 55F. Harvest: mostly cloudy trichomes with 10-20% amber for max potency. Heavy colas often need bamboo stakes or trellis netting. Dry at 60F/55% RH in darkness for 10-14 days. Jar cure with daily burping for 3-4 weeks minimum. Known quirks: the F2 line shows hermaphroditic tendencies in about 5% of population from OGKB Type 4 genetics — monitor for nanners especially under stress. Allow recovery time between training sessions. Expect 1.5-2x stretch in early flower.

History & Origin

Archive Seed Bank was founded in 2006 by Fletcher Watson (ThaDocta) in the Pacific Northwest. Face Off OG seeds were acquired from the Southern California underground market in the late 1990s. OGKB emerged on the West Coast in the early 2010s. Do-Si-Dos was initially bred and selected circa 2012 and released commercially in 2016, quickly spreading from Portland to Colorado to nationwide. In 2017 it placed in the Top 10 Hybrid Concentrates at the SoCal Cannabis Cup. Fletcher Watson was named Breeder of the Year by Seeds Here Now in 2018. In 2021 Leafly named Do-Si-Dos its Strain of the Year.
