South Florida OG (SFV OG) is one of the most celebrated OG Kush cuts, tracing back to an unknown Emerald Triangle strain crossed with Neville's Hindu Kush according to SeedFinder genealogy. The South Florida OG cut is also the backbone of Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) via Cookies' breeding program. It expresses a robust gas-citrus-pine profile with heavy resin production and dense indica structure.

Terpene Profile

Aroma: Aggressive lemon zest and pine resin on the crack, followed by heavy diesel fuel and kerosene funk. Undertones of creamy kush, chemical cleaner, savory black pepper, and acrid gas. Nose intensity is high — distinctly pungent and unmistakable OG.

Flavor: Piney kush and OG fuel dominate the inhale with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and citrus brightness. The exhale pushes gassy incense, peppery spice, and sour lemon. Aftertaste lingers with diesel and earthy kush notes.

Trichome transition from cloudy to 20%+ amber happens faster than most hybrids; begin daily checks at day 60. Harvest at mostly cloudy with 5–15% amber for cerebral OG profile, or 15–20% amber for heavier sedation. Resistant to pests and mildew but sensitive to humidity stress. History & Origin

Berner (of Cookies) revealed in a Hot97 interview that Wiz Khalifa fell in love with a particularly pungent and robust cut of OG Kush he'd been growing — the South Florida OG. Wiz told Berner he wanted this cut exclusively and didn't want anyone else to have it. Berner gave him the cut and helped set up the Khalifa Kush brand in Las Vegas with a partner who handled logo and branding. Originally clone-only and completely private, the strain was eventually commercialized. In 2022, the Khalifa Kush brand expanded into California through a partnership with Cresco Labs, with FloraCal Farms handling cultivation. The brand has since expanded to Illinois and Massachusetts through additional partnerships including Trulieve Cannabis Corp.
