London Pound Cake
Also known as: London Pound Cake #75, LPC75, LPC #75, LPC, Pound Cake, London Poundcake
Breeder: Cookies (Cookie Fam Genetics), bred by co-founder Jigga (Jai Chang)
London Pound Cake #75 is one of the defining cultivars of the modern dessert strain era from the Bay Area Cookies program. The #75 designation marks a phenotype selected for the loudest berry-grape terpene expression, most vivid purple coloration, and superior resin coverage. It became a pillar strain for the Cookies retail empire and spawned multiple high-profile offspring including Pancakes, London Truffle, Cake Mix, and Candy Rain. Its double OG Kush foundation concentrates resin production and fuel notes while the Sherbet side delivers berry-cake sweetness, making it an exceptional breeding parent that stamps strong structure, heavy trichomes, and dessert terps onto offspring with unusual consistency.
Lineage & Genetics
Cross: Sunset Sherbet x Nip OG
Sunset Sherbet (Mother) — Girl Scout Cookies x Pink Panties, bred by Mr. Sherbinski (Mario Guzman). Indica-dominant hybrid, 18-22% THC. Also the genetic foundation for the Gelato family. Contributes fruit tartness, sherbet sweetness, vibrant purple coloration potential, and dessert terpene backbone. Nip OG (Father) — OG Kush (South Florida cut) x F1 Durban. Documented on SeedFinder. Brings gassy OG musk, concentrated resin production, tight internodal spacing, and sedating body depth. The South Florida OG Kush cut (related to Triangle Kush) is known for dense trichome coverage and pungent gas profile.
Lineage Dispute
Earlier sources (Leafly, SeedFinder) listed the second parent as unknown heavy indica, but Cookies has since confirmed the father as Nip OG (OG Kush South Florida cut x F1 Durban). This means LPC75 carries double OG Kush influence from both sides.
Terpene Profile
Beta-Caryophyllene — 0.30%-0.60% — Warm, peppery, spicy; OG-style fuel depth. Interacts with CB2 receptors.
d-Limonene — 0.20%-0.80% — Bright lemon-citrus; mood-lifting, upbeat character.
Myrcene — 0.10%-0.40% — Earthy, herbal, musky; amplifies body relaxation and sedation
Linalool — 0.05%-0.25% — Floral, lavender; softens the profile with calming relaxing qualities
Humulene — Trace-0.15% — Woody, earthy; often appears alongside caryophyllene
Aroma: Primary ripe berry, grape jelly, and vanilla frosting. Secondary bright lemon zest, lemongrass cake, and blueberry. Tertiary OG musk, earthy fuel/gas, menthol, and faint spice. Breaking buds releases a wave of confectionery sweetness — baked goods, sugary frosting, cream. After 6+ weeks of cure, room-filling pastry-like scent with deepened vanilla-frosting quality.
Flavor: Inhale is bright and zesty — candied berries, grape taffy, lemon icing on a creamy base. Mid-palate delivers sweet vanilla, dough, and cookie batter. Exhale provides frosting and vanilla with faint peppery tickle from caryophyllene and lingering pastry-dough finish. Aftertaste is soft, sweet, and cookie-like with slight herbal/gassy tail. At vaporization temps 370-390F the lemon-berry top notes dominate; at 400-420F the cake and fuel aspects come forward.
Effects & Experience
Onset: Uplifting mental clarity, mood elevation, and calming focus within 2-5 minutes.
Euphoric contented headspace with gentle body warmth beginning at 45-90 minutes. Body relaxation deepens with tension melting and socially friendly mood at 1-2 hours. Physical heaviness becomes more pronounced with mild couch-lock at higher doses and sleepiness at 2-4 hours. Gentle wind-down with no harsh crash. Mental clarity in early onset gives way to warm relaxation — the double OG Kush lineage provides the sedating depth while the Sherbet side keeps the experience smooth and pleasant.
Duration: 3-4+ hours total

Growing Characteristics
Grow Tips: LPC75 is a MODERATE feeder — do not burn the tips with excessive EC. Watch for interveinal chlorosis (calcium deficiency under LEDs) and tip burn (overfeeding). Feeding: Veg nitrogen-rich formula starting 1/4 to 1/2 strength increasing to full, EC 1.6-1.8. Transition at flip to bloom formula with higher P and K plus Cal-Mag support. Early flower weeks 1-3 full-strength bloom feed EC 1.8-2.2, top-dress P and K at week 3 in soil. Mid flower weeks 4-6 peak nutrient demand, appreciates extra Cal-Mag under LEDs (supplement 100-150 ppm Ca, 40-60 ppm Mg with RO water). Late flower weeks 7-9 reduce concentration monitoring for chlorosis or tip burn. Flush final 1-2 weeks plain pH-balanced water. Add beneficial microbes and root inoculants at transplant. TRAINING: Top once at 4-6 nodes for multiple colas and bushier canopy. LST bending main stem and tying down laterals starting in veg — can increase yield 20-30%. SCROG works exceptionally well with compact structure. Lollipop lower third to channel energy to top colas and improve airflow — essential for this strain's dense flower structure. Defoliate: light around week 3 of flower removing large fan leaves blocking bud sites, second around week 6 to open canopy. Do NOT strip too aggressively. Stake or trellis heavy branches in late flower — colas can topple under own weight. Week-by-week: weeks 1-3 steady stretch 1.5-2x with flowering sites stacking quickly. Weeks 4-5 aroma shifts sweet to pastry-like with faint fuel, bud sites filling in, resin crusting sugar leaves. Weeks 6-8 major bulk phase with dramatic dense-up, trichome coverage thickening, purple/blue hues on select phenos with cool nights, aroma intensifies requiring carbon filter. Weeks 8-9 final ripening, monitor trichomes daily. PEST AND DISEASE: Dense flower structure makes it PARTICULARLY susceptible to botrytis and powdery mildew. Airflow is non-negotiable with fans creating gentle continuous leaf flutter at multiple heights. Install under-canopy fans reducing humidity pockets. Preventative biologicals (Bacillus subtilis, Beauveria bassiana) from week 1. IPM from day one with clean quarantined clones, sticky cards, weekly leaf inspections. Humidity management is primary defense — drop to 45-50% by mid-flower and 35-40% final two weeks. Dehumidifier mandatory in high-humidity environments. HARVEST: Target mostly cloudy/milky with 10-20% amber on calyx heads not sugar leaves. Start checking daily from day 56. Harvest morning or at lights-off for maximum terpene retention. DRYING: 60-65F, 50-55% RH, complete darkness, 7-14 days. No fans aimed directly at buds. Do not overcrowd — dense colas dry slowly from inside out, crowding traps moisture inviting mold. Do not rush — slow cool dry (10-14 days) preserves volatile monoterpenes (limonene, linalool) giving signature citrus-berry brightness. Rapid drying at higher temps disproportionately loses top notes. Monitor internal cola humidity — outside may feel dry while center still wet, break open test bud to check. CURING: Wide-mouth glass mason jars filled 70-75%, 60-70F cool and dark, 58-62% RH with Boveda/Integra Boost 62% packs. Minimum 3-4 weeks, optimal 6-10 weeks (vanilla-frosting notes deepen significantly), extended 3+ months for premium. Burp days 1-14 daily 10-15 min, weeks 3-4 every 2-3 days, weeks 5+ once per week. WHY CURING MATTERS ESPECIALLY FOR LPC75: Dessert terpene profile is highly cure-dependent. Properly cured at 6 weeks tastes dramatically better than 2 weeks — vanilla, cream, and baked-goods notes emerge and integrate with time. Rushing the cure is the single most common mistake. Common mistakes: overcrowding canopy (dense flowers trap humidity), ignoring humidity in late flower (bud rot thrives in dense colas above 50% RH after week 6), overfeeding (burns tips and degrades terpene expression), harvesting by calendar instead of trichomes (pheno variation means some finish at day 56 and others at day 70), rushing the dry (drying at 70F+ for 3-5 days destroys delicate top-note terpenes), rushing the cure (pastry/vanilla notes require 4+ weeks to develop), insufficient airflow (the #1 structural risk), not supporting heavy colas. Pro tips: keep canopy temps under 78F to preserve anthocyanin expression, lower night temps in last 2 weeks intensifies both color and resin production, defoliate mid-flower to prevent microclimates reducing trichome density on inner buds, outstanding for extracts with top-tier rosin yield and terpene retention (harvest slightly earlier for more terpene-forward product), the #75 cut maintains very consistent structure through clones while seed lines show more variation.
History & Origin
Berner and Jigga co-founded Cookie Fam Genetics in the San Francisco Bay Area around 2012. In the mid-2010s Mr. Sherbinski bred Sunset Sherbet (GSC x Pink Panties). In the late 2010s (~2018) Jigga crossed Sunset Sherbet with Nip OG and conducted an extensive pheno hunt selecting phenotype #75 as the keeper for superior terpene expression, purple coloration, and bag appeal. LPC75 entered the Cookies retail ecosystem around 2018-2019 becoming a flagship offering. By 2020-2021 it began appearing on best-of lists alongside Gelato, Zkittlez, and Wedding Cake. DewPoint's LPC won gold in the sun-grown category at the 2021 High Times Cannabis Cup. From 2021 onward LPC75 genetics proliferated through breeding programs with Pancakes, London Truffle, Cake Mix, and Candy Rain emerging as hit crosses.
