The strain gained wider circulation through In House Genetics' breeding projects and achieved legendary status when 3rd Coast Genetics used it to create Oreoz (Cookies and Cream x Secret Weapon) in the late 2010s. In the modern cannabis landscape, Secret Weapon's primary cultural significance is as the 'frost donor' — the genetic father responsible for the extreme trichome production that defines Oreoz's diamond-encrusted visual appeal. By extension, it is a grandparent or great-grandparent of the entire Oreoz family tree including Oreoz CrumbZ, Oreoz Mints, Tuxedo, Black Ice, and dozens more strains.
